BIOMECH ARMADA

A massive Biomech armada was scene in the vicinity of the Tolnecki Marlock worlds, racing in an apparent attempt to intercept a possibly enemy fleet in the nearby region. The System Governor, Murlas Mozetti, had no comment for reporters today. Anti-war hysteria has been building for weeks now on all three inhabited worlds as civilians clamored for the government to keep out of the wars that seemed to be breaking out all over known space. The Biomech armada has not been seen or heard from since they exited the system at the second primary warp point......

A REAL DEAL

The Tolnecki Prefecture has recently gotten a real deal from the Biomechphilist Union, after purchasing several prime T-worlds with minimal payments. The deal was worth several billion terracredits, but the Prefectures' relationship with the Union has been dramatically improving over the past several months. A deal involving the swap of T-worlds for asteroid colonies has been closely talked about in government circles but no confirmation has been heard from either government.

TERB PACIFICATION

Serious fighting has broken out on the balkanized planet Terb, which would normally have been ignored except that the location of Terb is also the site of the galaxy's only warp Point Junction. Ilkarian forces have begun to land in the over-populated nation of Wu-Feinstein after the unexpected assassination of that country's leader earlier in the year. A civil war broke out in Wu-Feinstein, threatening to involve outside powers, and the Ilkar chose to intervene.

COMPACT EXPANSION

The Compact, a federation of various races, has begun extensive colonization in an effort to expand the tax base of their empire. Many systems have been appropriated by the Compact, including several critical water worlds that only the Rurel Eel People can colonize with any success. Additional diplomatic contacts with outside races has recently been achieved in the border areas of the Compact, with much success. The situation bears watching......

FIRST BLOOD: THE BUGS

First blood has been drawn in the battle against the militant and xenocidal Bug race. Who that race is or what the result was from the battle can only be speculated at this time......more battles are sure to come.
