GRAND EMPIRE ALIEN RACES

Bese: A brutal warrior race, the Bese are humanoid in size and are extremely militaristic. They were forced, at gunpoint, to join the Empire over 750 years ago and have resented the fact ever since. A highly chauvinistic race, the Bese have been confined to their homeworld.

Branx: A powerfully built rock humanoid species standing on average thirteen feet tall, the Branx are phenomenal warriors and only their low birth rates have kept them from over running the galaxy with their power. The Branx have filled large numbers of slots in the former Empire Army and Marines, using their brute force techniques to their advantage.

Caan: A militant humanoid species, the Caan love warfare in all its’ forms and have satiated the Empires’ demands for hardened Marines. The Caan Republic fought the Empire continually before finally being defeated in the Battle of Two Suns nearly a 1,000 years ago.

Dushau: An ancient and incredibly long lived humanoid race, the Dushau are distinguished by their blue skin and high-tech AI warships. While their nature is pacifistic, the Dushau will defend their homeworld from attack. A powerful and long-viewed race, the Dushau have been the typical negotiators in the Grand Empires’ more troublesome conflicts.

Flouwen: The most brilliant tacticians within the Empire, these large blob-like aliens live in the oceans of their homeworld and have never shown an interest in expanding beyond their system. A large enviroment is built into every major capital ship in the Empire to support the single Flouwen that is assigned to that vessel, vastly increasing the warships potential to-hit targets.

Im’kek: These large humanoids stand nearly 10 feet tall and are covered with an immense amount of snow-white fur. Being slight telepaths, the Im’kek make fantastic starship crewmen and mechanics (they love metals). The Im’kek were the first to theorize the invention of the Imperial strikefighter, although they could never actually fit into one!

Ix: This race is unique in all the Empire, for it is a machine race. Highly productive and militantly benign, the Ix and their intelligent machines formed the backbone of the Empires’ bureaucracy for several thousand years. Their intervention in the Final War brought that brutal fighting to an end since they are able to use more advanced radioactive engines indefinitely. They have declared formal neutrality in the breaking conflict. A fantastically productive and wealthy race!

Lysertlings: Lysertlings are a benign cat-like race that have had excellent relations with the Empire for millennia, choosing to join it around 300 years ago. Lysertlings are excellent fighter pilots and are the backbone for the Empires’ fighter corps.

M’Dok: An infamous race, the M’Dok are not only fantastic military inventors but cannibals and xenociders as well, capturing and eating nearly a dozen races before the Empire put an end to their galactic tyranny. It was first contact with the M’Dok and the failure of the early Republic to effectively deal with them that in turn created the current Grand Empire. M’Dok are experienced tacticians that love large warships and M’Dok battleships cruised the Nepheg Sector for several thousand years before they were finally defeated and interred by Imperial forces.

Oh’a’o’o’o: The only known gas giant race, the Oh’a’o’o’o are extremely alien in their outlook and have brought the fantastic Garden Fleet into the Empires’ military structure (monitor-size mobile cities made of bubblene and possessing tremendous firepower). A fairly non-militaristic species, the Oh’a’o’o’o have relatively few ships compared to the Empire, and have decided to keep it that way.

Onctillian: A race of bald humanoids, Onctilians are an extremely sadistic and brutal race who can be identified by the fact that they are an all-female race (no men) and have no body hair. It took a massive saturation bombardment of their homeworld to finally force them to join the Empire nearly 800 years ago.

Pitar: A militant and highly xenophobic humanoid race, the Pitar are extremely aggressive towards outsiders and have maintained a near-total ban of space travel from their homeworld. Militant in the extreme and not shy about using force, the Pitar seem to be unlikely allies for anyone.

Seti: A aqua species from an iceworld in the Shammua Sector, the Seti are natural telepaths and have been used by the Empire in that capacity since they joined 460 years ago. Their homeworld suffered a recent meteor bombardment which decimated their population.

Ssli: The Empires’ only snake-like race, the Ssli are consummate negotiators, outstanding diplomats, and skilled linguists (on average speaking 20 different languages). A long-lived slow breeding race, the Ssli are highly sought after within the Foreign Service of the Empire.

Yooserian: The Yooserians are the Empires’ strangest looking inhabitants. They look like tall, orange stalks of barley and are well-known for their introspective philosophy, the Kwan. Being a plant-race, Yooserians are not subject to many of the same debilitating forces of nature that other organic races are.
