PRE-GAME INFO AND RULES

STARTING RULES

Starting PU: Each Player race starts with 20,000 PU(in addition to the full PU available on their homeworld), which is available to be placed only in the Starting Area of your race. This area is your traditional sphere of influence before the Federation added your race to its own expanding sphere.

Federation Taxation: It is quite high, being 40% of your total income before maintenance or anything else is paid, although this can change if you negotiate with the federal government on capital. Although this is enough to survive on(barely) this figure is realistic because all the Player races have followed the lead of the Federation in scientific development, and were not developing science programs of their own. However emergency funding in the pre-game has allowed for significant scientific increase in your own Player races tech base, prior to succession.

The Map: 90% of the map will be fully available, including WPs and REI. The main reason for this is that I and my co-SM do not want to be swamped with data requests, and the fact that all the Player races have been associated with the Federation for well over 500 years. There are additional WPs in Federation space, but they have not been discovered yet as the technology available has been lacking…

Races: All races must have one Good Characteristic and one Bad Characteristic, to be approved by the SM! We might go with the Racial Design instead(judgement pending).

Game Ends: This is an open-ended game, with no defined termination date or goals.

OTHER ERRATA

Gaea Worlds: There are twelve Gaea Worlds located throughout the Federation. These high-population high-income worlds are vital for economic expansion.

Megaworlds: A new concept introduced by the SM, there are only two Megaworlds located within the Federation, Trantor(at 251) and Junkion(at 709). Both have populations in the hundreds of billions and are vast economic prizes for those who capture them.

Multi-Tworlds: There is one six Tworld system in the Federation, the Andoas System at 449.
